Description
Bacteriostatic Water is a pharmaceutical-grade sterile water solution containing 0.9% benzyl alcohol, which acts as a preservative to inhibit bacterial growth. It is the standard reconstitution solvent used in peptide research and is compatible with the vast majority of lyophilised research compounds.
Unlike standard sterile water for injection — which should be used immediately once opened — bacteriostatic water can be used multiple times over a period of up to 28 days once the vial has been punctured, making it a practical and commonly used solution in laboratory settings. Supplied in a sealed sterile vial. For research purposes only.
