Description
Acidic Water (0.6% Acetic Acid solution) is a standard laboratory reconstitution solvent used for peptides that are not readily soluble in bacteriostatic water alone. Certain lyophilised compounds — particularly those that are hydrophobic or have a tendency to aggregate — dissolve more readily in an acetic acid solution, which is why it is commonly used as an alternative or preliminary reconstitution solvent in research settings.
The typical protocol involves dissolving the peptide in a small volume of acidic water first, before diluting to the desired concentration with bacteriostatic water or saline. Supplied in a sealed sterile vial. For research and laboratory use only.
